Within the Music:
Let's Change the color
a livestreamed concert
Friday April 12th at 7:30 pm central time
This one-hour long concert (no intermission) will explore the idea of colors in music. Through the works of Franz Schubert, Krzysztof Penderecki, Gérard Pesson and Johannes Brahms the audience will be introduced to variety of sounds, timbre and orchestration. The concert will challenge the perception and expectations of the audience when it comes to the expression of the music.
The concert will present the works of lighting design students from Professor Jojo Jones’ class and will invite the audience to experience classical music not only with their aural sense but also with their visual sense.
The concert features Baylor University School of Music faculty Ran Kampel, Michael Clark, Shijun Wang, Patricia Shih, Eka Gogichashvili, Kathryn Steely, Philip Borter, and a special guest appearance by DJ Cheek, principal viola of the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra.
